I've been in Canada for a year now. As you can see, my artistic muse must've stayed in Ohio. I'm in a total rut here and I'm trying to dig myself out of it. I've come to realize some of my best art comes from the inspiration I get from my friends. Sadly, none of my friends are around here. They're all 1,3000 miles away.

Manitoba sucks for a girl like me. A girl used to mountains and trees and rivers. This flat farmland is not beautiful to me. It's desolate and boring. The closest town is a twenty minute drive and the closest (and only) city of any notable size is near three hours away. A stark change from being 15 minutes away from four different towns in any given direction.

The prairie life is not for me, but I'm stuck here until circumstances allow us to move back east. So, in the meantime, I'm going to try very hard to get out of the rut. Maybe get my old artwork from high school and redraw old characters for the fun of it. Back when ideas flowed to me like a river.
